After High School I road crewed for Stone Soldier, a band made up of friends that I met at Taft High School while growing up in the San Fernando Valley, and later, a few other bands in the 80’s.  

 

I was a tech for all instruments, I played a variety of instruments --  I even played the accordion for a while!  I moved more into the management side of working with the bands doing merchandising and stage manager/ road manager roles. 

 

I got to work and party with many of the great metal bands in the 80’s -- I have partied like a rock star with rock stars -- The Rainbow Bar and Grill and the Whiskey A Go-Go and the Sunset strip were our stomping grounds in the mid 80’s.

 

I went to the school of broadcasting in Hollywood in the late 80’s and had a show that featured local bands doing showcases in Hollywood.

 

I love to go to live shows --  I always save my ticket stub from every show.  I had them all framed!

 

I live in the Central Coast area and have started a Local Joe show here that features local bands on the Rock 97.3-107.9. I also do a Heavy Half Hour of my show dedicated to Rock and Metal. 

 

The Rock is giving me an opportunity to serve my community and do something I love -- play music. I have a small “honey do” list service company which also has services for talent, shows, events, and merchandising as part of my LocalJoe805 business.

I have been a part of a traveling show at fairs (one of two fake midgets on horseback telling jokes).

 

I have done commercials on KSCQ 92.9 in New Mexico and on KTHO and KRLT in Lake Tahoe.

 

I worked in Hollywood as an extra.

 

I owned a clothing company that produced rock merchandise.

I am a nationally ranked professional skier and racer -- I lived in Lake Tahoe for 12 years and Vail, Co for 6 years to work with the US ski team, finishing on the podium many times at nationals in my age group. 

 

You might find me skateboarding my favorite skate park , ski racing, surfing, hiking or exploring the coast.
